当孔德（Auguste Comte,1798-1857）到苏格兰去找卡莱尔（Thomas Carlyle, 1795-1881）的时候，他吐出一句话：

 “Mr. Carlyle, I am going to create a new religion. I will be the founder of the religion. I called it the religion of humanism. 我要建立一个‘人文主义的宗教’。 In my religion, there is no miracles, there is no super nature, there is no queries. 在我的宗教里面😏没有形上的、超自然的、神迹这些部分，只有道德，只有对创造主的敬畏，就是人当尽良善的责任，没有别的东西。”

当他讲这句话的时候，《法国大革命》那一本伟大文学和历史巨著的作者（Thomas Carlyle），回答他一句话：

“Congratulation on your wish. I hope your religion can be success. But I should tell you, if you want to be success in your religion, you need three things. 1）、You should say something never spoken by anybody in history. 2）、You need to do something never done by anybody in the history. 3）、You need to proclaim when you are going to be died, and then after three days you will resurrect again.

他说我恭喜你，我盼望你的宗教可以成功。但是我要告诉你，如果你的宗教真的盼望成功，你有三件事要先做出来。

第一、你讲一些从来没有人讲的道。

第二、你做一些从来没有人做过的事情。

第三、你宣布你什么时候死，第三天你从死里复活。”

我不知道为什么卡莱尔的回答是这样的，但是我自己在猜测中，我认为这个伟大的人，他已经看出了基督的本质和其他的人不同的地方。

基督所讲的话是前无古人、后无来者；

基督所做的事是前无古人，后无来者的；

基督宣布我要在什么时候被钉，第三天从死里复活，是历史上绝对没有任何一个人可以这样宣布的事情。
